Description
“You are a monkey in the
jungle when one day a wayward carnival makes a stop. You and your fellow monkeys jump in the
bumper cars and away you go. You have no
idea why there is fruit all over the arena floor, but you aim to grab as much
of it for yourself as possible!”

Tune up your bumper car and get your monkey
ready to ride, it’s time to grab some fruit – this is Spin Monkeys! Players begin the game
with 5 movement cards. At the start of each turn, players will simultaneously and
secretly choose one of their cards to play that will determine the spin of
their bumper car. The objective of the game is to race across the board picking
up as much fruit as possible. There are
only a couple of things to get in the way, like other bumper cars, walls and
even banana peels. These can cause your
car to stop or spin to move in a new direction.
These monkeys must be hungry.
Every time they pick up a banana they leave a slippery banana peel
behind. Bananas are clearly the favorite
fruit and are worth the most victory points, but apples and oranges aren’t bad
either. Monkeys continue to careen
around the board until only one type of fruit is left. Then players add up their points and see who
is the top banana or is that the “top monkey”.

Recently, we sat down and had fun playing this
game. It isn’t as easy as it looks, you
can find yourself bumping up against the wall and spinning out of control. The board and components are very bright and
colorful and who can resist the funny monkey faces on the bumper cars. A copy
of Spin Monkeys is available in our Store Demo Game Library for you to come in and try out while you are here.
