This week’s game arrivals include a couple new games and some sought after restocks.

Pinata
Rio Grande Games



Just released from Rio Grande is Pinata, a reprint of their popular game: Balloon Cup.  Game designer, Stephen Glenn designed both of these 2-player games.


In Pinata, players compete to collect the colored candy that is inside the Pinata.  When a player has collected enough candy of a given color, he earns the medal card for that color.  The 1st player to earn 3 medal cards is the winner.  Players play their cards next to several mats on the table.  Players usually play their cards on their side of the mats, but they may sometimes play on their opponent’s side, a move that can ruin their opponent’s plans.

OddVille
What’s Your Game?

Recently released from What’s Your Game? is OddVille, a city-building card game for 2 to 4 players.


Oddly enough, several of you have been hired to build the city of OddVille, home to 4 powerful worker guilds.  Players will use their workers to obtain resources, coins, and building projects in order to build the most valuable buildings and to gain the favor of guild members.  The guild members can be powerful allies in constructing the city and in gaining victory points. Each building constructed by a player earns victory points in various ways.  The game ends as soon a player has built their 6th building. The player with the most victory points wins.
