2-Player Games

We frequently get asked about our favorite 2-player games which we typically respond with games that are for 2 players only. In the past month we have had the opportunity to play 3 games designed for 2 to 4 players that we love to play the 2-player set up. In alphabetical order they are Carpe Diem, Castles Of Burgundy, and Rajas Of The Ganges.

Carpe Diem and Castles Of Burgundy were both designed by Stefan Feld. We feel he is one of the best game designers out there. Rajas Of The Ganges was designed by Inka and Markus Brand who are also excellent designers.

Carpe Diem features straight forward mechanics combined with tough decisions and a unique scoring system.

Castles Of Burgundy
Castles Of Burgundy

Castles Of Burgundy is now a classic in board gaming. It features 25 turns with 2 dice used for actions and a myriad of ways to score points.

Rajas Of The Ganges
Rajas Of The Ganges
Rajas Of The Ganges involves dice, lots of dice with many ways to use them. In addition to being fun to it has a great table presence.

All 3 of these game work well at 2, 3, and 4 players. Our 2-player games of these always end up being close games when we get through final scoring.
