Game Night Home Version: April 10th

During this period of closure, our in-store Friday Night Game Nights have gone to a Home Version.  We encourage people to play their favorite games at home and then post results, and maybe a picture to our Off The Charts Games Facebook page.  This way we stayed connected to our gaming family.

Week 4: April 10, 2020.

Here’s what our gamer’s played and posted:

(Marlo)

Marlo comment: I tried out the solo variant of Everdell. It was pretty fun. A fairly simple solo game where the bot takes lots of cards and blocks a lot of spaces. Got dicey near the end, but I managed to win by 2 points…”

Allison comment: “We finished this afternoon and we barely made it,
Daniel overkilled Voldemort for sure on his final turn.”

Abomination
Abomination
(Mitch)

Mitch comment: “I tried the new solo play variant for Abomination. It uses “inspectors” that move in a pattern around the board and if you meet up with one, you either try to not be seen (and face consequences if you are), bribe, or the ever popular, straight up murder the inspector and USE THE BODY FOR PARTS! This game makes me wonder if I may be a sociopath but I enjoy it so much. I ended up winning by bringing my creature to life in the end of round 9 and ended up with a nice 199 points! A great and new way to enjoy this game.”

Sunset Over Water
(Marlo)
Marlo comment: “Finished the night on a lighter game. There’s a pleasant amount of strategy in the solo variant for Sunset over Water. Such a simple game, but still one of my favorites.”
