Viscounts Of The West Kingdom is the third game in the West Kingdom trilogy series by game designers Shem Phillips and SJ McDonald. The first and second, each a stand alone game, are Architects Of The West Kingdom and Paladins Of The West Kingdom, respectively. Viscounts Of The West Kingdom, 1 to 4 players – 60 to 90 minute play time – combines worker placement, deck-building, set collection, and variable player powers with a modular board and rondel mechanic to create a game with a lot going on.

The aim of Viscounts Of The West Kingdom is to be the player with the most victory points (VP) at game’s end. Points are gained by constructing buildings, writing manuscripts, working in the castle, and acquiring deeds for new land. Players begin with a handful of townsfolk, but should quickly seek out more suitable talents to advance their endeavors. Each turn they will be travelling around the kingdom, looking to increase their influence among the various areas of society. The game ends once the Kingdom reaches poverty or prosperity – or potentially both!

Photosynthesis – an abstract strategy game where your trees compete for sunlight as the sun moves around the board – – 2 to 4 players – – 30 to 60 minutes.
Tsuro – the game of the path – – 2 to 8 players, 15 to 20 minutes play time. Play tiles to move around the board with the goal of outlasting your opponents.
