New from AEG is Cascadia is a spatial puzzle tile-laying game based on wildlife and the habitats here in the Pacific Northwest. Players are going to build their own play area featuring five different terrain types and populated with five different animal types. Scoring cards will be revealed before the start of the game, one for each different animal.
On a turn players select a combination of one terrain tile and one animal tile to place in their play area. Points will be awarded at the end of the game for each animal type and the scoring card corresponding to it, plus points for their largest grouping of each terrain type. Cascadia features great artwork, ease of play and plenty of replayability because of the different scoring cards that are available for each animal type. Cascadia comes with 100 deluxe wooden wildlife tokens, 25 nature tokens, 20 wildlife scoring cards, 85 habitat tiles, 5 starter habitat tiles, a deluxe cloth bag.
