Striving to make the most successful zoological establishment, each player will build enclosures, accommodate animals, and support conservation projects to ensure the preservation of animal species. – – 1 to 4 players – – 90 to 150 minutes game time
Gathering diverse animals increases the attractiveness of your zoo, advancing you on the Appeal track and generating higher revenues. Likewise, careful stewardship of the animals allows you to support conservation projects, such as breeding programs, that lead to your advancement on the Conservation track and corresponding bonuses. These two tracks progress in opposite directions – if your counters meet, the game ends. Whoever achieves the best combination of appeal and conservation has built the most successful zoo and wins the game.
At the heart of Ark Nova are 255 cards featuring animals, specialists, unique enclosures, and conservation projects, each with a particular ability. Use them to increase the appeal and scientific reputation of your zoo and to collect conservation points. each player has a set of action cards, which you will use and upgrade to carry out your plans.
