Good news! Matt Leacock, designer of Pandemic is working on a co-op game called Climate Crisis. he is working with Matteo Menapace to create a game that is fun to play and scientifically accurate. The project kicked off sometime in March 2020. Matt and Matteo have spent a great deal of time studying climate change since then.
Currently in play test, the game involves four players working as the United States, Europe, China, and the Global South. The clock is ticking. Each round represents a 4-year period. Players have from now until 2050 to get the climate under control.
This is a game we can really look forward to see being published in the not too distant future. Stay tuned.
