Finca is a family friendly game with a cool-looking board and great components.

The players deliver their harvested fruits to the island communities, which have constantly changing requirements during the course of the game. For these delivers, the players receive victory points. In the end, the player with the most victory points is the winner.

Expanding The Demo Game Library: Dragon Valley
Dragon Valley Diamond K Games |
We sat down and played this cool looking board game. And, cool we found it to be. If you are looking for something different, this may be right up your alley. It’s a little castle defense, a little go battle the bad guys, and a little charge ahead and lay siege to the Orc’s homeland. Each can yield victory points.
There are 2 key elements to the game. One is the division on each turn of the “stuff” – the King’s Aid Cards, Buildings, and a mix of Friendly Units (knights, archers, trebuchets) and Enemy Units (battering rams, orcs, dragons). The second is how best to maximize your armies and buildings to score victory points while combating the advancing enemies.
Come in and see us for Dragon Valley. While you’re here in the store we’ll be happy to walk you through the rules.
More Game Arrivals: May 15th – 19th
The Games Keep Coming In. This shipment has something for everyone:
The Adventurers: The Pyramid of Horus From: Fantasy Flight Games |
Deep in the Egyptian desert, an ancient pyramid has just been discovered. Hieroglyphics near the entrance indicate it was built to honor the falcon-headed god Horus, but they also speak of a cult worshiping the evil god Seth. Eight brave adventurers are preparing to explore the pyramid’s secrets…and its dangers!
In The Adventurers: The Pyramid of Horus, each player takes control of one of eight adventurers represented in the game by a figure and a card. These skilled Adventurers are ready to take any risk to overcome the dangers waiting inside the Pyramid of Horus and grab as many archaeological relics as they can carry. The player whose Adventurer escapes alive with the most treasure is the winner.
Save Doctor Lucky From: Paizo |
Save Doctor Lucky is a family board game of high-seas heroism. It is also a stand alone prequel to Kill Doctor Lucky.
Doctor Lucky is a charismatic and well-respected
philanthropist with a heart of gold. Of course, you secretly hate the old
bastard, and you’re probably going to try to kill him someday. But killing him
aboard a sinking ship would be pointless. So you’ve decided to save his life
instead, and do it while someone else is looking. That way, even if you go down
with the ship, you’ll at least go down in history. And isn’t that what life is all about?
In Save Doctor Lucky, players are passengers on a
sinking ship. You have one goal: to save Doctor Lucky’s life while someone else
is watching. Players rush from deck to deck trying to find items that will aid
them, and trying not to see anyone else who might play the hero. But as the
ship sinks, the board grows smaller, bringing Doctor Lucky and the passengers
together into the few remaining decks.
Tomb: Cryptmaster From: AEG |
Tomb pits opponents against one
another in a fast paced board game of monsters, traps, and treasures. After
assembling your party from a plethora of random characters in the Inn, you set
out into the Tomb. The Tomb is created as the game begins, with each player
hiding treasure, traps, and monsters in each crypt, unknown to the other
players. Do you remember where you left the chest of gold? Better hope your
opponent didn’t put a Pain Eater in the same crypt! No rogues at the Inn today?
Hope you don’t run into a poison dart trap! Tomb captures the fast-paced feel
of a dungeon crawl without the hours of set up before hand. Just grab your
party and go.
Each character brings unique
abilities, and with the map changing every game as well as the available
characters, no two games will ever be the same.
The Ladybug From: Zobmondo |
Game is designed for interactive play between parents and kids. To enhance the game experience a lively introductory story about the adventures of four
ladybugs – Ella Yellow, Rickie Red, Tommy Teal and Olivia Orange can be read to the players before starting the game.
windstorm launches them airborne and they land on a faraway dirt pile. The
first ladybug to find her way “home” is the winner. Along the way, the ladybugs
encounter various hazards such as tall grass, praying mantis’, aphids and ants.
