Game Goes Off The Charts: Carcassonne

Carcassonne went Off The Charts this past Monday.  We found Coeur de Terre Winery in the Willamette Valley the perfect setting for our game of Carcassonne, a simple and clever tile laying game.

We’re at a French named winery, Coeur de Terre playing a game named for a French city.

Clearly my team of blue meeples thought that I had not done enough, I don’t speak French. As the city grew with each land tile placed my meeples got trapped and refused to leave the river or the road, or any cloister they occupied.  In the end Lynn crushed me.

After the first crushing defeat, I challenged Lynn to a rematch.  Alas, I suffered another defeat with my blue meeples now in open revolt. They refused all offers for a better placement.  Instead they just laid around in the fields and scored nothing.

The wine and the surrounding scenery were better than my game play.

Carcassonne is available in our Demo Games Library for you to come in and play.
