In Trekking The National Parks 2nd Edition players will trek across the United States stopping at the national parks to collect stones, claim park cards, and to set up camp all to gain the most victory points.  We have an open copy available for you to come in and try.

Camping at major parks yield points and special abilities.  Other parks give points when claimed.  Only one player can claim a park, so get there as fast as possible.  Don’t forget to stop along the way to pick up as many stones as possible.  All stones are worth points but having the most in a color yields additional points.  This is a fast paced game where you can also learn the locations and some facts of our national parks.  Happy trekking.

Outback

In Outback, the rangers need your help relocating animals to safer ground.  Only with lucky dice and a strategic assortment of animals can your preserve have the chance to win.  Each player starts with an empty outback landscape board.  On a turn you will roll six animal dice up to three times and take the corresponding animal(s) from the jeep and place it on your board.  Rolling multiple matching symbols allows you to place your animals higher up on your board thereby scoring more points.  Additionally, you gain bonus points for creating groups of like animals.  Each player’s board has a score track around it’s perimeter. Each of the 5 animal types has it’s own scoring token. The object is to get all of the animals as high on your score track as possible.  With an interesting scoring mechanism you will only score the animals that make it to the top portion of your score track and only the bottom three that are along the left side of your board.  You’ll want to make sure that you have gotten all of the animals at of the starting negative point zone.
