Familiar Tales is the new story telling game from designer Jerry Hawthorne who also did Stuffed Fables, Aftermath, and Mice & Mystics. This one is a co-operative fantasy game with a deck-building mechanic. – – 1 to 4 players – – 45 to 120 minutes
In Familiar Tales, players take on the roles of wizard familiars trying to save and raise the heir to the throne of Principalia. Players will explore the nooks and crannies of an enchanted world. They will fight off enemies, collect resources to craft powerful items, weapons, and armor, keep the princess safe and raise her to reclaim her throne.
An innovative card play system allows players to level up their familiars by building and customizing their skill decks. Players will use their skill cards to perform all manner of exciting actions throughout their campaign.
Be prepared to weave a fascinating story using a downloadable app, a location book and a campaign journal. Let the stories begin.
