- Puerto Rico 1897 – a classic strategy game with still the original great gameplay. Updated to make it historically and culturally more accurate, and moved two hundred years later after slavery was abolished. Players take different roles including industrious builder, clever trader, stalwart captain, opportunistic prospector, and more. Bolster your wealth and reputation by carefully building your city, harvesting goods, and strategically governing the island of Puerto Rico. The player with the most prosperous island wins. This is one of those strategy games where you not only have to plan ahead, it is also critical to be aware of what your opponents are up to. 2 to 5 players – – 70 to 120 minutes game time
