Games Back In Stock

Games back in stock this week include Beer & Bread, The Isle of Cats, Tournament of Avalon, and Mandala Stones.

Beer & Bread – A 2-player game about brewing and baking what the title says. It has an interesting game play with multi-use cards, alternating rounds with fruitful years and dry years, and swapping hands of cards. Over a 6-year period, players will harvest resources: water, hops, barley, wheat and rye. With those resources they will brew some beer and bake some bread. They will need to do both because the score at the end of the game is the lower point total of either the beer or the bread. 2-player – – 30 to 45 minutes game play

The Isle of Cats – A polyomino tile placement with colorful cats. Rescue cats to your boat with fish. Try to keep cat families together for greater points. – – 1 to players – – 60 to 90 minutes play time. Learn from our Game Profile Click Here.

Tournament of Avalon – A trick-taking card game where players are Arthurian heroes competing to win the Tourney with the most health while inflicting harm on their opponents. Each player will have an arsenal of weapon cards and unique powers. Alchemy runs wild and Fey magicks affects the battles. Injured players gain power helped by their Companions and the grace of Godsend cards. Locations give powers to the Tourney host. Use numerous card interactions to play your strategy. – – 3 to 6 players – – 45 minutes game play

Mandala Stones – An abstract game of pattern building, set collection, and layering. Players will use an artist to collect colorful stones in towers from a central board to place on their player board for scoring. On their turn a player will either pick stones or score stones. To pick, move an artist to a new location, then collect all stones adjacent to this artist that (1) bear the same pattern as that artist and (2) are not adjacent to another artist. Choose one of these stones to be first in a tower, then stack the other collected stones on top of this one, then place this tower on an empty space on your player board. To score, you will remove stones from your board. There are several conditions for scoring. Additionally, each player will have one or two secret end-game scoring objective cards. – – 2 to 4 players – – 30 minutes game play
