Hickory Dickory is a scavenger hunt using 4 different mice to move around on the minute hand of a clock to gather tiles in order to fill your 4X4 hunt board. Each mouse has a special ability. They will be able to jump on and off the minute hand as it rotates around the clock. There is only so much room on the clock hand. You can always get on, but you may force someone else off. Each of the 12 hours on the clock have randomly placed tiles and abilities to use when you jump off there. After 5 rounds scoring will be based on sets of tiles of the same color and sets of tiles with the same symbols. There will also be points for filling rows and columns on your hunt board. The title and look of the box cover looks like a game for younger children. That is misleading. This one is going to be fairly strategic. Definitely a family weight game. 1 to 4 players – – 60 to 120 minutes game play

New from designers Vital Lacerda and Joao Qunitela Martins is Bot Factory, a game of managing a bot assembly factory. The game is played out over four game boards: an assembly board, production board, project board, and a finance board. – – 1 to 4 players – – 30 to 60 minutes game play
The executives of Bot Factory have just learned about the kanban methodology of production. Players want to master this technology to be able to build the most valuable bots. The player with the most points will be promoted to a supervisory position in the company. Each round begins with the placement of your worker. There are 4 sections of the factory to move to. Each turn you must move to a different section. The first section is assembly where bots are built. The second section is where parts are obtained. The third section is where projects are selected. The fourth section is a place to commit to contracts or to add to the value of various bots. Bots come in 4 colors. It is necessary to match the right project with the right parts, with the right contracts, etc. Game end is triggered when a player completes 5 Bots or when all of the Bots of one color are completed. Final scoring includes valuing each Bot by how high the value is on the valuation track. Each contract completed is scored. Kanban systems are all about efficiency. Empty projects, unused Bot parts and uncompleted contracts all score negative points. The player with the most points will get the highly valued promotion to supervisor.

In the first, third and fifth years there are bountiful resources to harvest – “the fruitful years”. In the second, fourth and sixth years there will be a lean harvest and much less resources to harvest – “the dry years”. Players will have 5 cards at the start of each year. They will choose one to play. Each card has 3 options. Use it to harvest resources, or as a recipe for a particular beer or bread, or a building that provides special abilities for the rest to the game. During the fruitful years, after both players have played a card, they swap hands. Play another card – swap hands. During the dry years, players will not swap hands. They will have the option to exchange a card from their hand with one of the three available cards in the central play area before playing a card. Each player will play 5 cards per year. Cards used to harvest go back into your hand to start the next year allowing a player to keep ability cards or recipe cards for use in the next year. These are going to be a highly thought provoking 6 years.
